Have You Given Up On Looking For A Great Work From Home Idea?
If you are an internet Newbie, or you have a Bricks and Mortar business but looking for ways to exploit the web to increase your sales, or simply sick and tired of hearing stories of people making outrageous fortunes online and you feel you want your share of the pickings. You have come to the right place. If you are simply sick and tired of your job and feel strongly about making a change , or looking for a new direction, or if you are looking for ideas to help you launch a money making venture, be it part time or full time , you are all warmly welcome. I must stress that all the ideas I will be talking about are not GET RICH QUICK SCHEMES. I am sorry to disappoint you but GET RICH Quick SCHEMES do not work. I have been all of the above. I have read more business books than I care to remember, I have been to countless seminars and bought more courses than I can recall. Some were absolute garbage and some gave me that aarrgh I didn’t know you could do that feeling. For the last 22 years or so, I have been involved in all sorts of businesses. From owning an internet café, to a trucking company, import and export, selling educational CD’s for kids, selling men’s and women’s clothes, exporting cell phones to developing countries, running an accommodation for international students, buying and renting accommodation in Spain. With the internet as a tool, there is absolutely nothing that is out of our grasp. This is undoubtedly the best time ever in history to start up a business. No more excuses. I remember when I first started import and export about 22 years ago. If I was looking for a particular product to import or export, my first port of call was the local library. I will arm myself with a pen and a jotter and copy all the relevant information, the next trick will be to locate a high street printing shop (they usually have a fax machine) to send a fax to the company. You then have to make a trip to your local bank to arrange the finance. What a drag. To open a business account at your local bank, you better make sure you have got your best suit on, because quite frankly, it was a big deal making an impression on the small business manager at the branch.
Whether you are an entrepreneur , online or offline, the rules about running a business are the same. You will need to provide excellent products that people are interested in, you will need to provide outstanding service to wow your customers to keep coming back , you will have to communicate with your customers (absolutely vital). Market first, product second. Get this formula backwards and, more often than not, you’ll either be DOA (dead on arrival) with your new business or go broke more slowly and painfully over time. Getting this formula wrong, more than any other reason, is why the vast majority of businesses flop, whether they are focusing on Internet marketing or marketing by other means or both. I will show you in my informative newsletter how to find a hungry crowd to feed, how to easily find out if there are ready made customers waiting with their cash in hand. Talking about communicating with your customers, my daughter turned eleven a few months ago. We had a little parcel in the mail from a big pharmacy company . It is all to do with puberty and I am not going into details what the items were. The point I am making is, for eleven years, there really was no contact with us from the company. Do you think they could have done better by sending us offers that will get us into the shop and hopefully spending more whilst we were in there? Of course they could have done that. Anybody who is a parent knows the countless times that we make trips to the pharmacy because our little angels are a little bit under the weather. Again this are some of the little things that I will be talking about in my newsletter. Little actions that will be hugely rewarding for your business. Don’t be one of those entrepreneurs who gets a product first and then looks for a market. That is the totally wrong way about being an entrepreneur. Always remember, hungry market first, then product second . Don’t be a starving artist. They paint or sculpt whatever they feel like painting or sculpting, then hope somebody might want it. The most starving of all starving writers are writers of poetry, especially non-rhyming poetry. One small step up from starving poets are inventors. They make the same basic mistake but have an even more emotional attachment to the thing they create without a market. I’m talking here about the folks who weep and wail on the fringes of the marketplace, devoutly convinced they have something everyone would buy if only — if only there weren’t a conspiracy against them; if only they had a ton of money to advertise their product; if only everybody running the Fortune 500 companies weren’t so short sighted and would license their product. If this is where you want to be, you need only model their thinking and their stubborn behaviour, and there you will be. Entrepreneurs think and behave very differently. I was watching one of those property programmes where people are looking for properties to buy at their dream locations( I love properties by the way) and there was this lady looking to buy in France. She was looking at all this fabulous properties but the only thing holding her back from buying was her dream of writing novels. Let me explain. According to her, if she moves to rural France, she is going to be far from London where the major publishing houses and literary agents are based. The point I am trying to make is that, you could be living at the tippy tippy top of mount Everest, and as long as you have an internet connection, you can write a novel, have it published and get it to market without the help of a publisher or an agent. And not only that, you can find publishers who will print on demand. This basically means, the publisher will only print a copy when your customer puts in an order. You can then have your novel sold on Amazon , and like I said, still “chilling out” on mount Everest(if that is what you want to do) . For those who wish to write, this must surely be the ultimate ‘work from home’ business. This is internet marketing at it’s best. When you subscribe to my informative newsletter, I am not going to shove any particular kind of business idea into your head and tell you this is the one business idea that will make you 10 grand in 2 weeks.
